The project Global Variant Production System develops a production system that permits German enterprises to strengthen their assembly locations and at the same time to profit from internationalization of their products and cooperative relationships. By a fundamental new view to assembly processes and a new form of relocation of assembly within the value-creation chain alternatives to a shift, justified with costs, of assembly extend at foreign sites are shown. |
